Deal Freeze is a feature available on selected Vio deals. It lets you secure the price and availability of a stay while you decide.
- Deal Freeze is free to use.
- Available to users signed in with a Google account.
- You can freeze up to 5 deals at a time, and a total of 10 per month.

How to freeze a deal
- Click Freeze deal.
- You'll see exactly how long your deal will be held and the deadline for completing your payment.
- You don't need to pay anything to freeze the deal.
When you complete your booking, we'll use the guest details you entered when you froze the deal. These details can't be changed later, so please make sure they're correct before you continue.
We'll send you a confirmation email with:
- your payment deadline
- a link to manage your frozen deal
How to complete payment and confirm your booking
Complete your payment before the deadline shown in your confirmation email.
You can do this by selecting Manage frozen deal in the email, or by accessing your frozen deal from your Vio.com account.
We'll send reminder emails 72 hours and 24 hours before the payment deadline.
Once your payment has been processed, we'll confirm your booking by email.
If payment isn't completed before the deadline, your frozen deal will expire automatically. After that time, the price and availability are no longer guaranteed. We'll send you an email to let you know.
How to unfreeze a deal
If you no longer want to keep your frozen deal, you can unfreeze it at any time before it expires.
- Open the confirmation email.
- Select Manage frozen deal.
- Click Unfreeze deal.
We'll send you a confirmation email once your deal has been unfrozen.
Please note that unfreezing a deal can't be undone.
If you don't complete payment before the deadline, your frozen deal will expire automatically. We'll send you an email to confirm this.
What happens if the price drops after you freeze a deal?
After you freeze a deal, we'll continue monitoring the price of the same stay.
If the price drops before your frozen deal expires, we'll automatically refreeze your frozen deal at the lower price. You don't need to do anything.
We'll email you to let you know, and you'll also see the updated price on your Booking Management page.
In some cases, we may find a better deal with a different payment deadline. We'll only update your frozen deal if you'll still have at least 7 days to complete your payment from the time your deal is refrozen.
We'll continue monitoring your frozen deal until it expires. If the price drops again, we'll automatically refreeze your deal again. There's no limit to how many times this can happen.
What if you need to make changes to the booking made with the help of Deal Freeze?
Apart from the great price, there will be no specific Deal Freeze-related conditions, and your booking will fall under the conditions described during and after the booking process.
Please note that the booking will be created with the guest information you provided during the freeze, and that the guest details cannot be changed.
